Former Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus Cheek followed Christian Pulisic to join AC Milan this season. He said he and Pulisic felt hungry for titles since joining Milan.

Both of them have the ambition to maximize opportunities to play at AC Milan. Loftus Cheek is one of seven new players arriving at Milan this season.

He became part of Chelsea's laundry. He was released by the Blues for 20 million euros to AC Milan.

Milan also needs additional strength in midfield after losing Sandro Tonali who joined Newcastle United. Milan made a big profit because he sold Tonali at a price of 80 million euros.

"Arriving in a new country, a new language, it's always a challenge. I can say that my colleagues, especially those who speak English and already know me, helped me get past that first obstacle," said Ruben Loftus-Cheek as quoted by MilanNews.

"I feel very good. I feel I am in the right place."

Ruben Loftus Cheek Comments on Milan Coach

He also spoke about Milan coach Stefano Pioli. He revealed what the bald-headed trainer wanted.

"In the last few weeks, I have tried to learn what he wants from us. He wants us to be very aggressive and offensive. Can maneuver smoothly," Loftus Cheek said.

"We want to keep the ball at our feet, we have quality to build up, as the coach asks, the more we play, the better we can improve the movement and the feeling between us."

Loftus Cheek Talks about AC Milan's pre-season

Ruben Loftus Cheek also spoke about AC Milan's pre-season in the United States. He is happy to be able to play in Las Vegas and will face Barcelona on Wednesday (2/7/2023).

"I've been to Los Angeles before, but it's my first time in Las Vegas. I wish I could take a short walk to see the city," said the England winger.

"Right now, we realize that the people here are amazing and passionate. This is something we didn't expect for a country that doesn't really idolize football."

AC Milan's pre-season results are not satisfactory

Loftus Cheek admitted that AC Milan's pre-season had not gone as expected. Milan lost 2-3 to Real Madrid and 3-4 to Juventus on penalties.

Even so, the player from England was happy because he learned a valuable lesson.

"I'm sorry we haven't won our two pre-season games but those two games left us with positive ideas to work on," he said.

Ambition to Score More Goals at Milan

Loftus-Cheek also talked about the possibility of scoring more goals at AC Milan. As a midfielder, he was productive in the 2018/2019 season.

"In the 2018/2019 season, I scored 10 goals for Sarri's Chelsea, because I played more forward, in an attacking position. This allowed me to be more present in the penalty box," he said.

"Then, due to injuries and playing further back, I started to lose touch with the goals, but this year I have the opportunity to play in a position that I like."
