Premier League: Marcus Rashford's Contract Renewal Becomes MU's Priority

Table of Contents

MasterWeb, Manchester - Marcus Rashford's duration of work with Manchester United will end in the summer of next year. MU also prioritized extending the England national team striker's contract.

Currently, Rashford is impressive with Manchester United . He has successfully scored 24 goals and eight assists from 36 matches in all competitions this season. This record made Marcus Rashford one of the best goal scorers in Europe.

In the midst of this slick performance, Rashford's future with MU has begun to be in doubt. Negotiations for a new contract between the Red Devils and Rashford have yet to reach an agreement. Meanwhile, many clubs are ready to buy the player.

PSG is said to be ready to redeem Marcus Rashford from Manchester United and will be plotted as a replacement for Neymar. PSG is not quite satisfied with Neymar, who is often injured and whose performance is sometimes inconsistent.

Rashford Is Not For Sale!

Apart from PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also reportedly interested in Marcus Rashford's services . Madrid is looking for a successor to 34-year-old Karim Benzema. Barca's case is also the same as Robert Lewandowski.

However, Manchester United manager , Erik ten Hag, firmly disappointed the clubs interested in Rashford's services.

"We can't lose Rashford, of course. We are working to extend Rashford's contract. Rashford's new contract is a priority," said Erik ten Hag.

"We are working on his new contract, we are working hard behind the scenes. We have to keep Rashford, of course," he said.

The key is a smile

Marcus Rashford is a different player under Erik ten Hag. At the start of the season, Rashford did not stand out. However, while his fitness is at the top level, Rashford is also having his best game.

"On the first day we met, I said to Rashford: I want to see your smile! Rashford is very happy to be at the level he is now," said Erik ten Hag.

Several sources said salary was an obstacle to Rashford's contract extension. Manchester United is now making strict limits on player salaries. MU has a 'Ronaldo law' which makes the upper limit of a player's salary is 200 thousand pounds per week.
